At every point in this process volunteers are needed. Perhaps you have a special talent or some kind of expertise that will help bring the music alive.

Become a Zamler or Collector
(Zamler) is the Yiddish word for
compiler.
Being the Jewish Music Archive the first folk music library we launched back in 2000, Zamler has remained the denomination for our music collectors all over the world. They are also called Arrokojedores, which is the Ladino equivalent for Zamler or, simply Collectors.

Donate Your Records
Search your house for these forgotten treasures. Ask your friends, your local librarian, your friends, anyone you think might have old records of Folk Music or might know someone who does. Arrange for the records to be sent to us. If necessary, we will pick them up.
We will catalog them, clean them, digitize them, and make them available online at savethemusic.com - including words, transliteration and translation, music notation, historical context and biographies of the performers and authors, when possible.

Sponsorship Opportunities
Save the Music faces two related challenges. First, we are constantly searching for more records and need help locating them and bringing them back. Secondly, the digitalization process is quite time-intensive and costly. We have recently taken steps to lower our costs, but we still need additional funding to continue digitizing and to upgrade our website. With this in mind, we have embarked on a $1,000,000 fundraising campaign that will allow us to continue saving the music.
